Hospice Services

The Community Hospice works closely with the healthcare professionals at Columbia Memorial Hospital to provide additional expertise, help and support to seriously ill patients. In most cases, patients cared for by Community Hospice leave the hospital to return to their own homes, where they can have the best possible quality of life, surrounded by the people and things they love. Hospice team members visit the patients at home, providing outstanding medical care to the patients themselves as well as advice and guidance to their family members. Care is also provided to patients in area nursing homes and at Columbia Memorial. The team is always available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, if a patient or family member needs help.

The cost of Hospice is covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most HMOs and private insurance plans.
