New urologist joins Columbia Urology at CMH

Dr. Manoj K. Subudhi, formerly in private practice in urology on Long Island, will join Dr. Daniel Melamed of Columbia Urology, located in the Medical Office Building at Columbia Memorial Hospital. He will provide all levels of urological care, including diagnosis of illness, new treatment techniques, and less invasive surgery.

Urology is medicine that diagnoses and treats diseases of the urinary tracts of males and females, and the reproductive system of males. This includes the kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra, and the male reproductive organs, notably the prostate.

Dr. Subudhi specializes in minimal incision nephrectomy which is the surgical removal of kidneys. He also performs minimally invasive prostate surgery.

Dr. Subudhi is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Urology, and is a member of the American Urological Association and the American Medical Association. He was a visiting clinician receiving specialized training at the University of California in cancer of the prostate and radical prostate surgery. He has also received special surgical training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Previous to entering private practice, he was a clinical instructor and resident in the Departments of Surgery and Urology at SUNY Health Sciences Center
in Syracuse, NY.

Dr. Subuhdi and his wife Lily have three children, daughters Sonia and Julia, and son A.J.
