The Quit Program
CMH offers a tobacco dependence treatment program
(Hudson, NY - July 9, 2007) – Columbia Memorial Hospital is sponsoring The Quit Program, a tobacco dependence treatment program, which will be begin July 12, 2007 at the hospital¹s Administrative Service building, in Hudson from 5-6 pm. There is a $30 fee for this six-week program. The program is designed to assist smokers in the quitting process and is intended for individuals ready to make a quit attempt.
The six sessions provide information on the physical addiction of nicotine, contributing factors, benefits of quitting, relaxation and stress management, behavioral triggers for smoking, coping skills and also nicotine withdrawal and relapse. Ellen S. Forman, PhD will facilitate the July program.
