HRBT Foundation strengthens connection
with community health
The Hudson River Bank & Trust Co. Foundation has re-emphasized its strong connection with one of the most important local community assets in Columbia County by donating $27,500 to Columbia Memorial Hospital. The grant is earmarked to support a comprehensive plan for “Addressing Cardiovascular Risk Factors” within the community. The plan includes multiple partners. Listed among the partners are school officials, Columbia County Department of Health’s Healthy Heart Coalition, Cardiologists from Twin County Cardiology, Columbia Memorial Hospital’s departments of Community Health Services, Nutrition and Physical Therapy. The group has planned educational presentations for the faculty at local school districts as well as educational presentations for parents of local children.
According to the hospital officials, the plan would not have been possible without the support of the Hudson River Bank and Trust Co. Foundation. For information, please call Columbia Memorial Hospital’s Community Health Services department @ 518-828-8013.
The Hudson River Bank & Trust Co. Foundation was established in 1998 to provide financial support to nonprofit organizations. The Foundation continues its charitable giving with an emphasis on education, youth development, arts and culture, historic preservation, health care, human services and community development.
