Millennium Medical Imaging, a physician-directed, single specialty radiology practice that serves a host of hospitals in the Capital District, will now read and interpret all medical imaging modalities at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
The group provides this service for hospitals such as Seton Health, Saratoga Hospital, and Amsterdam Memorial.
The Columbia Memorial team is lead by Dr. Tariq Gill, president of the practice. Millennium has more than 30 years experience providing cost-effective medical imaging services with emphasis on implementing best practice models, according to Dr. Gill.
The group does not compete with hospitals for radiology work and has no equipment. According to Gill, their key goal is to "partner with the hospital, using their existing medical imaging equipment and provide the physicians of Columbia Memorial superior clinical expertise."
The group has experience interpreting different imaging modalities including general radiology (x-ray), digital mammography and stereotactic biopsies, neuro- and musculoskeletal imaging (CT, MRI), nuclear medicine, osteoporosis screening (DEXA and QCT), and vascular imaging (ultrasound and angiography).
"We are committed to improving the health status of the community. It is Millennium's desire to strive for the highest level of patient satisfaction by delivering cost effective health care. Millennium Medical Imaging's radiologists understand the need for on demand access to clinical procedures with immediate interpretation and consultation with the referring doctors. It is a physician-to-physician approach," said Gill.
"Although the term seems trite, we are true strategic partners," stressed Gill.
According to Gill, Millennium Radiologists are Board Certified and have developed quality improvement programs that enhance physician and patient satisfaction as they come on board.
"Our goal is best practices, refining the business model through evolution as we team with Columbia Memorial's highly-trained medical imaging staff."
