| Do you have diabetes, osteoporosis, cardiac illness or breathing difficulties? Do you want to exercise but are not sure what to do, what kind of exercise and how many times should you exercise? Are you unsure of what exercises are safe for your condition and when you should look for signs to stop exercising?
Columbia Memorial Rehabilitation Services now provides a program that clarifies these and other questions you might have and helps you on a path to better health.
Dr. Yotam Lev, PT, DPT, CEEAA of Columbia Memorial Rehabilitation Sevices is now certified as an exercise expert for aging adults(CEEAA) by the American Physical Therapy Association.
The advance training for CEEAA provides guidelines for evidence-based tests for balance, gait, flexibility and strength along with ways to address difficulties in those areas. Special attention is given to the prescription of an appropriate individual exercise program for aging adults who have an active lifestyle. It is also designed to assist people with osteoporosis, Parkinsons, diabetes, and cardiac and pulmonary illness.
Dr. Lev, a Physical Therapist, has been working for Columbia Memorial Hospital since 1998. |
