Columbia Memorial and Kaaterskill Care recognize top employees

 

Columbia Memorial and their affiliate long-term care facility Kaaterskill Care in Catskill, have recognized the following employees.

Yvonne Scribner of Columbia Memorial's Education Department was October Employee of the Month. Scribner is a long term employee of Columbia Memorial Hospital. She started as a unit secretary in 1994. Since then she has worked in a variety of departments throughout the facility including the staffing office, human resources, medical imaging, case management and is now Education Assistant.

 

Maggie Bentley was chosen Employee of the Month for November 2010. Since returning to Columbia Memorial in March of 2009, Maggie has been involved in projects to improve the quality and safety of patients and staff. Bentley was instrumental in launching the hospital's Safety Program and assisted in training staff in safety protocols.

Margaret Apa was named Employee of the Month of December. Apa has worked for the hospital 19 years in various departments: Assistant to the VP of Human Resources, Patient Representative, Assistant to the Vice President of Nursing, Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer, and at her current position as Assistant to the President for the past 15 years.

She represents the hospital as a Board member of the Greene County Chamber of Commerce and on the Board of Directors of The Second Show.

Jamie Paquette, of Kaaterskill Care's Resident & Family Services Department was chosen Employee of the Third Quarter of 2010.

"Jamie has truly been an asset to the Resident and Family Services Departmentat Kaaterskill Care. She is compassionate, willing to listen and goes out of her way to help her patients. She always has a smile on her face," said facility Vice President Todd Zbytniewski.

Linda Bathrick was chosen as the Employee of the Fourth Quarter of 201 for Kaaterskill Care.

"Linda consistently goes above and beyond to make sure our resident's needs are met on a daily basis," said facility Vice President Todd Zbytniewski, "and she does it with a professional attitude and a smile. Linda is a team player who puts her residents and their families as top priority. She is a pleasure to work with as all her co-workers could attest to. "
