Samperisi named Columbia Memorial Employee of the Month of April
Dawn Samperisi of Columbia Memorial Hospital's Human Resources Department was named April Employee of the Month.
Samperisi came to Columbia Memorial Hospital in June 2008 as a Human Resources Assistant in the recruiting department. The Catskill resident has worked in the Human Resources field for more than 18 years, having previously done this work at Brockway-Smith in Coxsackie.
"Recruiting is certainly a role suited for Dawn", said Kelly Sweeney, Human Resources Director.
"One of Dawn's responsibilities is to guide applicants through our hiring process. As most of us know, beginning a new job can be an anxious time. Dawn always greets customers with a smile and in her own soft-spoken way, puts applicants at ease by assuring them that she'll be there to help them every step of the way. Columbia Memorial Hospital is truly fortunate to have such an employee," said Sweeney.
Samperisi loves reading in her spare time and along with husband Joe, is an avid classic car buff.
She loves her 1958 red Chevy Nomad. Joe drives a beautifully restored
1961 Chevy Impala.
"I love working for the hospital," said Samperisi. "I credit Vice President Ray Jones for his direction of the department and also for
giving me this wonderful opportunity."
