| Description: |
Obtain specimens, test patient specimens, analyze and report results in a professional manner. Demonstrate and apply the theoretical concepts of Clinical Laboratory Medicine using independent judgment. Maintain confidentiality of all patient results. Qualifications: Education: Minimum qualification to be recognized as a Medical Technician 2 year Associates Degree in Medical Technology or an applicable Associates Degree in the Sciences with 2 years Laboratory experience. License/Certifications: Must be Licensed by the New York State Education Department Office of Professionals as a Medical Technician or be in Applied Status for Licensure. equivalent. ASCP Certification or equivalent preferred. Experience: 1 year minimum Clinical Laboratory experience. |
