| Description: |
The registered nurse works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to determine and meet the needs of the patient. The registered nurse has the primary responsibility and accountability for providing quality care to patients through the use of the nursing process as reflected in the Standards of Nursing Practice and in a manner that is cost-effective without compromising quality care. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure and registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the New York State Practice Act and the American Nurses' Association (ANA) Standards of Nursing Practice. UNIT SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS BLS Current hospital experience preferred |
