Program
Description

Loans of up to $5,000 per year up to a maximum total of
$20,000.
.
Loan repayment of eighty (80) percent is forgiven for two
years of full-time employment at Columbia Memorial
Hospital/Long Term Care upon successful completion of a
health-related degree.

Applicants who meet the criteria for this program can have
eighty (80) percent of their total loans forgiven
after a minimum |
of two years
of service. (For any year in which a portion of a loan is forgiven,
the
proportionate amount of interest on that loan accruing in that
year is also forgiven.) An additional
twenty (20) percent is forgiven after a borrower completes a third
consecutive year of service.
Totaling one hundred (100) percent loan forgiveness.

Part-time employment may also be considered for partial loan forgiveness.
Repayment of fifty (50) percent
of the loan is forgiven for two year of part-time employment at
Columbia Memorial Hospital or Long
Term Care. An additional thirty (30) percent is forgiven after
the borrower completes a third consecutive year. If the borrower
chooses to work the fourth-consecutive year, twenty (20) percent
of the loan
would be forgiven - totaling one hundred (100) percent loan forgiveness.

Applicants must be enrolled either as a full-time or part-time
student at an accredited college or university approved
by Columbia Memorial Hospital.

Full-time Student: Enrolled in twelve (12) semester hours
or more-usually a minimum of four courses. Full-time students
must be matriculated.

Part-time Student: Enrolled in fewer than twelve (12) semester
hours. |

Applicants who meet the criteria for this program cannot
enroll under any other existing tuition reimbursement program
offered by Columbia Memorial Hospital.
